The Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is seeking volunteer help. The organization offers pet care for animals who have been rescued. Second Chance is a private, not for profit animal shelter who has been in business since 1984.

The shelter provides care for nearly 80 dogs and 75 cats when in full house. They have a goal to care for and provide a safe environment for the animals they receive. Second Chance does not receive any government, city, or state funding.

If you are interested in providing volunteer hours to help this Grand Lake Ok shelter, your time will be greatly appreciated. There are a variety of ways you can volunteer for the organization.

Volunteer time can be spent simply playing with the animals and helping them to gain successful adoptions within the communities, especially if they have been mistreated. Other ways to provide volunteer time is through helping with clerical needs, being a part of the animal care team, transport animals, and helping at Second Chance events.
