A special program on the ever growing popularity of Barn Quilts will be presented at 1:00. The creation of barn quilts is one of this year's cultural district's projects. Recia Garcia & Lynda Latta, OSU Extension Educators, are coming from Woodward & Gage to introduce us to the importance of barn quilts and inspire us to celebrate our community's heritage through their creation. The program is part of the Art Festival and will begin at 1 p.m. in Room 4 of the Community Center.
Organizations that make up the coordinating council of the cultural district include: The Playmakers, Brush & Palette Club, Lendonwood Gardens, Grove Public Library, Grove Public Schools, Grove Chamber of Commerce, Heart & Soul Gallery, Jana Jae Festivals and Gallery Southwest, and Har-ber Village. All events are held with assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council as well as local support.
