Bernice Nature Center
The Bernice Nature Center is a favorite destination for children of all ages. The Bernice State Park Nature Center is created and devoted to educating the public regarding natural habitat in the Grand Lake Ok area. The history of NE Oklahoma is also a part of the programming.
Families are welcome to come and explore hands-on exhibits, animal exhibits, and wildlife exhibits. The nature center also has an indoor active beehive and fish for the children to see.
The center is located on a sixty-six-acre wildlife refuge which also includes a half-mile nature trail, primitive trails, and observation towers. Staff also provide presentations to the public throughout the year.
Admission to the Bernice State Park Nature Center is free. The establishment is open from Wednesdays through Sundays from 9 am to 4 pm.
Grove Playmakers Community Theater
Grove Playmakers Community Theater is a community theater group and they perform a seasonally changing slate of productions, including dramas, musicals, comedies.
Members of the Oklahoma Community Theater Association, the Playmakers are dedicated to bringing quality theater to the area. This is a family friendly and kid friendly attraction in the Grand Lake Ok area.
Picture In Scripture Amphitheater
The Picture In Scripture Amphitheater is a 1000 seat amphitheater located east of Disney, Oklahoma. Every Friday and Saturday in the summertime, through August 5, they present the "Damascus Road,” the story of how Saul became Paul, the greatest apostle of all time.
A cast of 50 live animals, state of the art sound and pyrotechnics will keep you “spellbound” as Paul's story comes to life. Dinner is available prior to the show and this is a family friendly establishment.
Lendonwood Gardens
Lendonwood Gardens is a beautiful botanical garden holding eight acres of exquisite beauty. The garden was created by Dr. Miller in Grove, Oklahoma. The garden attracts a large number of visitors each year.
Pathways are shady, and the grounds hold more than twelve hundred different types of plants to enjoy. Lendonwood offers variety in each season of the year.
Seven distinct gardens are on the grounds, each with a different theme. A display garden is located at the entrance. Visitors are also greeted with a Japanese Pavilion Garden, English Terrace Garden, Oriental Garden, Angel of Hope Garden, American Backyard Garden, and an Azalea Garden.
Most of the garden areas are accessible to those with disabilities. Free golf cart transportation is available for those who reserve at least one week in advance. Self-guided tours, as well as guided tours, are available.
