A lot of bass are being caught on Grand Lake right now! A lot of quality fish. Several trips over the past few weeks have produced over 20 pounds for our best 5 fish.

The bass are in their summer pattern and can be caught using several presentations. The best seems to be soft plastics on main lake points. Deep diving crank baits have also done well.

I have caught fish from 1 foot out to 20 feet of water recently. However, the 10 to 15 foot range has produced bigger fish.

One thing to remember about summer fishing is that an angler can go a period of time without a bite. Don't get discouraged. The fish are schooling and it's just a matter of time before you find an active school on the points. When you do, hold on!
