2018 GRDA Grand Adventures Summer Camp
GRDA, OSU Extension, and Blue Thumb are offering the Grand Adventures Summer Camp for youth. The camp is focused on a greater understanding of lakes and streams. Registrations are due by June 25th, but classes are filling up fast.
Camp activities include the following:
Learning about the water cycle
See how streams are formed
Understand how to check for water clarity
Compare phases of growth of creek bugs
And, take a ride on the lake in the GRDA Eco-Lab boat!
The Grand Adventures Summer Camp are scheduled on the following dates:
July 11 – ages six to eight years of age
July 12 – ages nine to twelve years of age
July 13 - ages nine to twelve years of age
Camp times run from 9 am to 3 pm each day. Drop off begins at 8:30 am. Pick up no later than 3:30 pm. Each camp session is limited to twenty-five children. Each participant will receive a small net, lunch, snack foods, and a special t-shirt.
Cost of the camps range from $10-25 and payment is needed the first day of camp. The first session already has a waiting list, so be sure to sign up quickly to ensure availability.
