The GLOC Performance Boat Challenge is scheduled for Grand Lake Ok in July and the event is sure to bring a powerhouse of festivities. The public and visitors are invited to attend any of the celebration events scheduled as follows:
July 8th Celebration for Volunteers with Luau Theme
The party of the volunteers will be held at the Grove Civic Center Wednesday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm. Attendees are welcome to join the party and register for free gift drawings. Beverages will be available for guests free of charge.
July 10th Family Fun Night with Street Party
Friday evening will begin with VIP night for the public at the Grove Civic Center. Challenger boats will be on display an4d captains will be available to mingle with the crowd. Vendors will also be available for those who enjoy shopping. Food items will be available from food vendors. Family Night will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm.
July 11th Wolf Creek GLOC Events
At 8:45 am, visitors will enjoy watching the Boat Parade as challenger boats are escorted from the Grove Civic Center to Wolf Creek Park. Boats will then launch for the expected run. At 10:30 am, the Motion 77 Exhibition Run is scheduled to take place followed by the Radar Runs at 10:45 am.
Travis Reed with Brad Smith Memorial Run will begin at 1:30 pm. Upon completion of the GLOC Performance Boat Challenge events on the water, everyone will return to the Civic Center around 4 pm.
July 11th Fellowship and Grand Awards
In continued celebration of the GLOC event, fellowship with food and beverages will be available from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Grove Civic Center. Beer and wine will also be available. For those who like to shop, vendors will be available during this time of Grand fellowship.
The “Simply Grand” Awards Ceremony will take place at 8 pm to 9 pm celebrating the fastest drivers. This is a wonderful time to cheer the drivers on and let them know how much you appreciated the show. There will also be a drawing for the Volunteer Gift Giveaway. Enjoy Beacon Drive on stage from 9 pm to midnight.
