Hidden near the western end of Spavinaw Lake, Grand Lake State Park offers a quiet area of retreat for campers, fisherman, and those wishing to spend the day away from the city. The Spavinaw area provides areas for twenty-six RV, and 75 tent sites. The location also holds shower facilities, covered shelters, and a swimming area during warmer weather.

Fisherman enjoy the outdoors and the opportunities to catch channel cats, crappie, bass, and walleye. Hunting and hiking are also allowed near the park location.
