Pensacola Dam was created to bring electricty to the community. Today, many people come to this Grand Lake Ok attraction. It is seen as fifty-one dams side by side and it is amazing to see. The dam is known as the largest dam created in the world.
Discover Oklahoma provides a visual peek of the creation of this huge project which came into existence during the Great Depression. Work to create the dam continued around the clock seeing it through completion.
Visitors have access to see the Pensacola Dam through tours given by the GRDA. During the tour, visitors will see first hand the magnitude of the creation which was once just a dream!
