Ed Townsend is settling down to enjoy more life in the Grand Lake area of Oklahoma. Recently, he accepted a five year term to fulfill membership on the Grand River Dam Authority board of directors. Townsend is narrowing down his commitments in life, but has a great love for Grand Lake OK. After speaking with Governor Mary Fullin a few weeks ago, it was delighted and honored to be asked to join the board. His view of Grand Lake is the area has tremendous opportunities available to the local community as well as those visiting the area. Mr. Ed Townsend's duties will include offering advice and overseeing Grand Lake OK operations. He is fully committed to the area and all it has to offer. The board position will allow him to also be involved in the economic side as well as keeping the environment in great shape for forthcoming generations. Grand Lake welcomes the change and looks forward to new opportunities and growth in the area. Ed has brought much to the community in years past while serving as chairman for Integris Health and being an honored businessman in the Grove, Oklahoma area.
